The exclusive one dry White wine from Santorini is made from the exquisite white Assyrtiko grape variety, the grapes of which are carefully selected from the island's traditional vineyard. The characteristic blue bottle of the Gavalas winery contains a piece of Santorini, because the Assyrtiko comes from one of the oldest vineyards in Greece (approx. 160 years).
This Santorini Assyrtiko has a wonderful development ahead of it. The aromas become more mature and the minerality emerges more and more clearly and is strongly reminiscent of the petrol notes and a persistent saltiness comparable to some outstanding single-vineyard Riesling. Gavalas Santorini has a balanced acidity and a long aftertaste.
He is a ideal accompaniment to seafood, white meat and light cheese.
